The Alpha Rho Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, Inc. was charted on November 22, 1952 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Thanks to the drive of five highly qualified men who exemplified the high ideals as set forth by the fraternity, the chapter came to be. With the guidance of then Michigan State Director, Brother J. Howard Aldridge and the approval of  regional director,  Brother James A. Grant, the Alpha Rho Sigma chapter was established. Sixty plus years later, the chapter is re-establishing the legacy set forth by those great men of Sigma who came before us.
